ActiveComply accounts come with a pre-populated set of trigger terms relevant to compliance in the customer's industry. However, individual companies can also create their own personalized Trigger Terms using our Advanced Trigger Term Search Engine.
This tool allows users to search for specific words or phrases, group together similar terms in one singular trigger, look for posts excluding specific language, and much more. Users can test run trigger terms before deciding if they want to add the term to the account. Once a Trigger Term is added, the system will look for that term in all future post content and profiles.
Search Bar
To begin a search, use the Search Bar at the top of the page to search for a term or phase to be added as a trigger and hit Enter on the keyboard. This will bring up the Advanced Trigger Term Search Engine.
Once the Advanced Trigger Term Search Engine is up, users can select from a variety of filtering options on the left-hand side to better pinpoint their search results. Below are some trigger term filtering options. Users who want to see all results for a trigger term, regardless of where it is found, will not need to select any of the below filters.
Note: Users should be conscious of the amount of results found for a trigger term as some terms may have a high number of findings and can be modified for better results.
Search Options
Using this filter section, a User can choose to make a trigger Case Sensitive, Disable Word Stemming, or include the Trigger Term in Online Review searches.
Type Options
Using this filter section, a User can exclude a Trigger Term from Post Content and only apply the trigger to Profiles or vice versa.
Services Options
Using this filter section, a User can choose to filter by or exclude certain Services, or Platforms, from a Trigger Term search results. For example, a User can select Facebook and opt to exclude Facebook from results.
Save To Collection
After a Trigger Term has been added to the search bar and any desired filters have been applied, Users can select "Save as Trigger" on the right-hand side of the screen. Users will then be prompted to name the trigger and select the appropriate collection to house any findings.
In the above example, the Trigger Term being tested is "greatest" with 265 results and no filters applied. To save the trigger, the user can name the trigger "greatest" and chose the Alerts Collection Folder to house any results.
Users can choose to have Trigger Term results populate in custom Collection Folders to track certain regulatory issues or improve the workflow process.
Adding Phrases
Users can add more than just one-word triggers, they can also add in phrases. To add a phrase, Users should put the whole phrase in quotation marks to encapsulate the whole phrase as the trigger term.
For example, if Users wanted to look for instances of employees mentioning no appraisal, they would include "no appraisal" in the search bar for phrase results. If quotation marks are not utilized, results for the trigger would include instances of both "no" and "appraisal" separately.
