From the Rules Page, a User can select the “+ Add Rule” button at the top right of the page to create a new Rule.
A screen will appear from the right side of the screen. The system will prompt the User to Name the Rule and select the Severity level.
Next, the User will click the “Add new condition” button.
Conditions
Page Content | WebCompass will search the language found within a website's content. |
Page Content Example: users may select "Page Content" | "does not contain" |
"any of the following" and may add the desired page text or disclosure. Built in this way, this rule will flag a website page when the particular word/phrase/disclosure is not present.
Link | WebCompass will search URL links found on a website |
Link Example: users may select "Link" | "is not found on page" and may add the
desired URL. Built in this way, this rule will flag a website page when the particular link is not present.
Websites
The User can select which Monitored Websites the Rule will be applied to. The User may also select a group of Websites via the Tag function.
Remediation
The User may add Remediation verbiage.
Save
The User must select the Save button to finalize a Rule.
