From the Rules Page, a user can select the “+ Add Rule” button at the top right of the page to create a new Rule.
A screen will appear from the right side of the screen. The system will prompt the user to Name the Rule and select the Severity level.
Conditions
Page Content | WebCompass will search the language found within a website's content. |
Page Content Example: users may select "Page Content" | "does not contain" |
"any of the following" and may add the desired page text or disclosure. Built in this way, this rule will flag a website page when the particular word/phrase/disclosure is not present.
Link | WebCompass will search URL links found on a website |
Link Example: users may select "Link" | "is not found on page" and may add the
desired URL. Built in this way, this rule will flag a website page when the particular link is not present.
Websites
The user can select which Monitored Websites the Rule will be applied to. The user may also select a group of Websites via the Tag function.
Remediation
The user may add Remediation verbiage.
Save
The user must select the Save button to finalize a Rule.
