A Tag is a keyword or phrase a User can assign to help group specific items and can be utilized throughout the WebCompass system whether a User is working on the Discovery Page, the Rules Page, or the Website Page.

Tags can be applied to help a User filter views. For example, in WebCompass Discovery, a User can tag news articles or review websites mentioning their company as “Brand Reputation”. The User can then elect to filter the View to include or exclude websites with that Tag.

Tags may also be utilized to group multiple Rules. For example, a User could group California requirements Rules under one “CA” tag and apply that tag to the necessary websites. If California updates its website requirements, the User would only need to adjust the Rules associated with the Tag. WebCompass would apply the updated Rule(s) to the websites tagged with “CA”. This would eliminate the need for the User to go through and apply the updated requirement to each website under California regulations.
