ActiveComply's Discovery collection folder as a default looks for instances of company level branding on social media profiles, including: company name, company NMLS ID, company DBAs, etc. ActiveComply Users can elect to also include Individual LO Discovery in the Discovery collection folder as well as an add-on feature. This Discovery feature enablement would allow ActiveComply to also search for a company's registered or sponsored individual licensees' information on social media profiles.

With the addition of Individual LO Discovery, the system would identify an individual licensed employee's social media account by looking for information such as:

  • Licensed employee's individual NMLS ID

  • Licensed employee name + the lenders website/email domain

  • Licensed employee name + the employee's branch city

In this way, the ActiveComply system will Discover individual employee social media accounts even if the employee does not include a piece of company level branding. In the Discovery collection folder, users will see the licensed employee name and their identifier highlighted in red and located below in the "Triggers" section as well. Users may Enable Monitoring on these social media Assets just the same as any company branding identified Asset in Discovery.

The Matched Keywords on the left-hand side towards the bottom will also showcase the Individual LO NMLS ID's in Discovery. From here, users have the ability to filter by the Individual NMLS ID's. Note: even if the individual employee search terms found are the employee name and another key identifier, the Matched Keyword will still reflect as the individual's NMLS ID.

Additional Requirements

Due to rate limit restrictions from certain social media platforms, LO Disco is generally not included as a part of ActiveComply’s base service offerings. A requirement for this feature enablement will be that each individual ActiveComply customer User (the customer administrators using the ActiveComply social media monitoring account) must grant ActiveComply permissions through their personal Facebook accounts. ActiveComply does not gather any personal data or incorporate these accounts in the system for monitoring, but the granting of permissions does contribute directly to ActiveComply’s rate limit with Facebook. For the Individual LO Discovery add-on feature to work for a client's account, they must connect their personal Facebook accounts every 60 days.

Users will receive a blue banner popup (screenshot below) when the connection needs to be renewed. This feature add-on would cast a wider net for an institution's related social media and likely will result in an uptick of alerts in the Discovery collection folder.
