SocialShield includes a feature that identifies when identical posts have been made from multiple social media accounts. This often happens if a content push tool, such as Hootsuite, is used by a marketing department to release a social media post across multiple corporate and loan officer accounts.
How it Works
The system coupling of duplicate posts allows users to potentially clear a bulk number of identical posts instead of manually clearing each post individually. When an identical post is found, the Clear Multiple Posts? popup feature appears once a user attempts to Clear one of the identical posts and lists the number of identical posts found.
Note: This feature requires that there are 3 or more identical Open posts found in a SocialShield collection. Users may need to Refresh their browser screen to see these identical posts Cleared from the collection.
Exclusions
If a post is not entirely identical (i.e. a LO adds a hashtag, changes spacing or punctuation, etc.) then the post would not be included in the multiple post clearing pane. If a post includes a unique link for each individual LO then the post would be a unique post and would not be considered identical.
Video Content
Identical video content can also be easily cleared using this same function. However, if the text of a social media post is not identical, then that post would be then the post would be a unique post and would not be considered identical. At times, certain video content may have a unique link embedded that would also make each video post unique.
