ActiveComply Pre-Review: Admin User Canva App Setup & Workflow Process

Learn how to integrate the ActiveComply Pre-Review app into your Canva workflow to ensure your designs meet advertising standards. This guide walks Admin users through setting up the app, scanning your projects for potential compliance issues, and resolving issues before exporting your final files.

1. Navigate to https://www.canva.com/

Find the App

2. Click "Apps" to visit the Canva App Store.

3. Enter "Compliance" in the Search box.

4. Click on the "Compliance Review" app.

5. Select to use the app in a new or existing design.

Sign in to ActiveComply

6. Click "Sign in" to sign in to ActiveComply's app. Admin users must complete this step for Enterprise account users.

7. Click "Connect".

8. Click the "Email" field and enter the email utilized as an ActiveComply account Admin.

9. Complete authentication proceedures by entering the automated code sent via email.

10. Connection has now been established. Users can now scan designs.

Scan the Design

11. After content has been added, users can select "Scan design".

12. A Canva default pane will then appear. Users do not need to take any field actions and may proceed to the scan by selecting the "Export" button.

13. The app will then display a loading bar outlining the steps occuring between ActiveComply's Pre-Review app and Canva.

Review Findings

14. After the scan concludes, an overall Compliance Status will display along with individual issues and required remediation. User should review the recommendations and adjust the content as needed.

15. Users have two actions available to them:

1. Rescan - after content adjustments are made, users can have content rescaned to have Issue findings automatically resolved.

2. Submit for manual review - if users have questions or cannot receive desired outcomes from the Rescanning of content, users can reach out to their ActiveComply Admin to request the submission be reviewed manually.

Rescan and Export

16. After making content adjustments, select "Rescan".

17. Click "Export".

18. If all issues have been remediated, users will receive a green status of Auto-approved. The content piece is now approved for download.
