Under a Website's Dashboard, users can view a website's various Paths. A Website Path is the part of a URL that comes after the domain name and indicates a specific location or page within a website. These can be thought of as branches or divisions of a website, such as a jobs page or blog.

Example:

Identifying a Websites Paths

To see the Path divisions for a website, users can select the down arrow on the website Dashboard Page. Users can select a particular Path name to see the individual Path pages filtered on the Data Page.

Path Columns

The below columns are displayed when reviewing a website's Paths:

  • Monitored Page Count (green): this is the number of pages currently being monitored with rules applied for a particular website Path. All Path pages are enabled for monitoring as a default when the website is added for monitoring, but users may elect to Ignore certain Paths as part of the review process.

  • Total Page Count (grey): this is the total count of pages a website truly has for a particular Path, regardless of any actions taken in WebCompass.

  • Compliance Issue Pages (red): this is the count of pages within the Path that have been identified as having at least one compliance issue present.

Ignoring Pages

After selecting a particular path name for filtering, new ellipses, will appear at the end of the Path name. Users can elect to ignore a path from monitoring by clicking these triple dots next to the Path name and selecting "Ignore path".

It is important to note that if a user elects to Ignore a particular Path, all outlined website Rules will be disabled for that Path. This will exclude all existing and future Rules for this Path and all its subpaths.

Once a Path has been Ignored, users will see the green and red page counts decrease. Users may always re-enable a Path for monitoring by filtering by the Path again and selecting "Include path".
